Train To Rome

Wonderful day with a breeze, not so cold
With a scent of a new Spring, not the old

I board the subway to a destination ahead
Once again I fall within a situation instead

I await mine cart’s departure from its place
As I sit I behold, sitting ahead of me, a face

A dark-haired raven with the body of a vase
Little did I know that she would be my maze

She looks into mine eyes and smiles a bit
My heart is confused, must it jump or sit?

The train moves and she looks away into space
She breathes heavily as her heart starts to race

Tell me Fate, is this your playday, am I a toy?
Do you control her the girl, and me the boy?

What beauty that presents itself effortlessly
Mine heart skipped many beats, countlessly

The train stops at my station, is this the end?
I don’t want to leave this cart, can fate bend?

I head to my second train, I can barely stand
A feeling of departure, you won’t understand

I sit in a seat and forget where I’m headed to
But after 3 stops I see her walking-in, through

My eyes open up with a wonder on my mind
Is this a mirage or a reason to turn me blind?

How long will she stay on here, this a game?
Is she herself, the girl I saw, is she the same?

My mind, is running wild, no longer can I tame
Should I approach her quick to ask her name?

The train stops and she walks out in a blink
She leaves but her trace is left on me as ink

I sit once more back into my seat in my awe
Surprised and confused from her that I saw

Time passes and, by my life, I’m paralyzed
Only after I leave my transport do I realize

Standing in front of me is her figure once more
She spins around as her spine circles her core

Fate is God’s Eternal Roman City, that needs,
No map, for every road to His royal city, leads

He opens my eyes once more within His home
No matter what, I shall always reach my Rome
