2- The Monster’s Demon

One day a monster came to a village and killed
He ate all the people until his belly he had filled

Protecting the earth ticked his hunger
Now he must eat to become stronger

The monster grew big and strong
Thinking that he’d done no wrong

He smiled with joy and laughed away
He had so many meals and didn’t pay

Then came to him a demon in red
And with a little grin, he slowly said

“greetings monster I see you’re hungry no more
I should eat you and in my belly should I store!”

Explain, logically, why you should live, if you can
One chance, only then will let you be a free man

The monster started crying and said
“Why would you eat and turn me dead?”

The demon grinned and said with a smile
“Didn’t you eat your meal without a trial?”

“Killing so many to satisfy your hunger,
So that you may live just a little longer?”

The monster gave-in, became the demon’s food
He could have lived if the riddle he’d understood
