Violin

Zimmer rimmer and dimmer goes my song
Music starts to flow in the air all night long

Now waves of my expression from a violin, fly
Rain falls as Earth feels my song, starts to cry

My strings sing so much, they slowly scratch
But there is no harm, for mine have no match

The tunes march down my arms as I play
They slowly change, they are mine to clay

I reformed the tune and created a verse
To fully understand, you must immerse

I shake up the walls and break them down
I can make you smile and make you frown

My loyal string starts to break! Stop it now!
I need to help it without stopping, but how?

I ignore and play away without it by my side
I had its loyalty now I shall show it my pride

I play louder and louder! Let the world hear
I’m filled with courage yet I’m creating fear

Men who hear it can feel the music, pressing
Feeling my tunes through their souls, passing

I imagine the music in my mind as I perform
I discipline my fingers and my tunes I reform

I leave my day-dreaming and I pause, zapped
Nonsense, my strings have suddenly snapped

My eyes grow in shock and my hands shake
Am I in a dream or is this reality, am I awake?

It’s still dark but no, could this be another night?
Playing all day? My strings have so much might!

My fingers are bloody and they feel so numb
I let them bleed a lot so I can feel only some

Every drop of blood dripping starts to sing
And I realize my music is not in one thing

I listen to the wind and the blood connecting
Oh now I hear my melody slowly resurrecting

Write your verses and let them sing aloud
For music is made for the ears of a crowd
