Piano

The flow in my fingers moves with the wind
On my piano, they twist, twirl and they bend

You lead me into a new world, new sounds
I trip over this rock of fate, on older grounds

What a jolt of power! Spin and spin my tune
I keep playing this song from noon to noon

A spirit takes over my fingers and plays
No matter what it takes, it always relays

A sudden spunk, a hint of a speck of a melody
But then a glance at it proves, this, a remedy

Flowing, floating and drifting, all these together
All are needed, one cannot fly with one feather

I don’t hit the piano keys, they take my fingers
This piano, she speaks, and her voice lingers

I keep playing your words till you say stop
When I play you, no one can stop me, atop

She possesses my hands, they know me not
I keep playing newer notes without a thought

Faster and faster they keep coming to mind
Separate keys coming together just to bind

Keys that get you addicted, easily pressed,
Fingers go through like butter, de-pressed

A note that lurks around like a creep tonight
Though in hiding, I can feel it, my kryptonite

I feel you within me, kissing my spine
If I am your prey, are you here to dine?

No, this not a hunt, but a chase, endless
Catastrophic damage, what a big mess

Ah! Such a strength-taker, out of my neck
This is not a bit of its power, just a speck

Who played this in my place? The creator
Burning me up, my whole, the disintegrator

Do you understand me? Play my tunes thrice
If you don’t, ah you fool, you will pay the price

Your ignorance and foolishness is surprising
If they knew my heart, there’d be an uprising

All have left me, a lonely musician and his tool
Is God here? I hope not! If so then is He cruel?

I’m banging my fingers loudly on the keys
This piano knows me, knows how to tease

Sudden tingling in the tips of my fingers
Not a burning type, more like the ringers

A pleasant sound comes and then goes
Is it heaven? I see arrows but not bows

So wonder child, wonder till you are lost
Losing yourself to my songs is a must

I’m tired of talking, but now you know it all
Listen to my tunes, for no more can I stall
